Mr. Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia, BA (Oxon)
MA (Oxon) MBA (Kellogg)
Solicitor. Admitted in Ghana, England and Wales.
Elikem
has worked as an international banking lawyer at the
London office of Linklaters where he advised investment
banks and corporate borrowers on syndicated and bilateral
credit agreements, typically in connection with Mergers
& Acquisition transactions. He was seconded to Barclays
Capital (the investment banking division of Barclays
Bank Plc) as a Global Loans Lawyer and articled at the
London Office of Travers Smith Braithwaite. He was part
of the team awarded Restructuring Team of the Year 1999
by Legal Business Magazine. In 2006, Elikem was named
Ghana's ‘Young Professional of the Year' by the Millenium
Excellence Foundation in the Newmont Ghana Youth Achievers
Awards' and described in Businessweek Ghana as ‘an epitome
of academic excellence and professional success'. Immediately
prior to founding Oxford & Beaumont, he was Head,
Corporate Services & Legal of United Bank for Africa
Ghana Limited (formerly Standard Trust Bank) where he
set up the bank's legal, strategy, brand management
and business support departments.

Mrs. Amina Kaguah LLB ( Ghana )
Solicitor & Barrister-at-Law (Admitted

Prior
to joining Oxford & Beaumont , Amina worked as a
Senior Associate at Bentsi-Enchill & Letsa, a reputable
Ghanaian law firm. She has broad experience in corporate
and commercial transactions spanning mergers and acquisitions,
telecommunications, employment, intellectual property
and real estate. She advised the lenders on the $810
million receivables backed loan to the Ghana Cocoa Board
to finance the acquisition of cocoa for export and had
advised on a number of syndicated and bilateral loan
transactions for local and international lenders. She
has also advised on a number of initial public offers
and on interconnectivity issues among cell companies
in Ghana.
Amina was part of the team that advised on the disposal
of part of the Government of Ghana's stake in National
Investment Bank. Amina has also been involved in extensive
work on Ghana 's intellectual property rights and has
advised on intellectual property protection in Ghana
covering all aspects of protection available.
Mrs. Sadia Chinery-Hesse Solicitor (Admitted in Ghana, Sierra Leone and England & Wales)
Sadia is a seasoned lawyer with almost twenty years experience. She joined Oxford & Beaumont from Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited (‘Stanbic’) where she was General Counsel and Secretary to the Board for seven years.
Prior to Stanbic, Sadia worked at Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah where she led transactions in a number of areas including banking, investment, energy, mining and telecommunications. She also worked several years in London for Whitbread Plc and the London West End firm Philip Ross & Co, where she articled.
In addition to her rich transactional experience, Sadia also has a wealth of experience in corporate governance.
Sadia holds a bachelor of laws degree from University of London and is qualified in England & Wales, Sierra Leone and Ghana. She is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers and the Africa Women Lawyers Association. She is also a member of Zonta International. Sadia is fluent in French and is an avid golfer with a keen interest in interior designs.
David A. Asiedu, BA (LAW) BL
Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law (Admitted in Ghana )
David is a solicitor and barrister specialising in corporate finance and corporate litigation. His litigation experience spans all the courts of Ghana where he has acted in cases relating to real estate, credit management, banking, sale of goods and contract, for a number of clients including Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Ltd, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, HFC Bank, United Bank for Africa Ghana Ltd, Lushann Eternit and the Saltpond Offshore Producing Company Limited.
In the area of corporate finance, David was a core part of the Oxford & Beaumont team that advised Vodacom International Limited on its bid for 66.67% of Ghana Telecom. He has also advised on a number of syndicated and bilateral facility agreements including a $150-million plus syndicated facility by a Citibank-led syndicate of lenders to Millicom Ghana Limited, and a risk-sharing facility agreement between a development financial institution and a leading local bank.
David holds a BA in Law and Political Science from the University of Ghana, and was admitted to the Bar in Ghana in 2003. He has also successfully completed a practical advocacy course at Street Law Inc., Washington, D.C., USA.

Michael R. Gaveh
Senior Associate, Finance Groups
Michael
is a barrister-at-law and solicitor, admitted in Ghana.
He was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon and
the Ghana School of Law. He also has a Master of Laws
[LL.M] degree in investment, international trade and
the environment from Queens University, Canada. Michael
has a wide range of experience from academia to corporate
law practice. He previously worked with Central University
as an Adjunct lecturer in Commercial Law, Bensti-Enchill,
Letsa & Ankomah, and as in-house counsel for the Public
Utilities Regulatory Commission. He joined Oxford &
Beaumont Solicitors after a stint in the United States
of America where he worked with Chaikin & Sherman in
Washington, DC as well as in the commercial real estate
industry. Michael has broad experience in corporate
transactions spanning banking and finance, project finance,
mergers and acquisitions, investment, mining, energy
among others. He advised Overseas Private Investment
Corporation [OPIC] on a $130 million credit facility
to finance the operations of Phyto-Riker [Gihoc] Pharmaceuticals
Limited. He has also advised on a number of syndicated
facility agreements. Michael serves on the boards of
Buziness Needs Consulting and, Excel Touch Services.

Mr. Nutifafa Richmond Klutse-Woanyah, BSc ( Ghana ) LLB ( Ghana )
Solicitor and Barrister-At-Law admitted in Ghana.
Nutifafa graduated top of his class at the Ghana law school, sweeping a number of prizes including the coveted Charles Mends Cann Memorial Prize for overall best male student.
He was part of the team who represented Ghana at the 2006 Shearman & Sterling LLP Phillip Jessup International Law Moot Court held in Washington DC , USA . Nutifafa has experience in drafting commercial contracts, conveyances and civil pleadings.
Nutifafa has advised on a number of contentious and
non-contentious matters including advising Tema Offshore
Mooring Limited in connection with on going matters
relating to the Offshore Mooring Agreement entered into
with inter alia, the Government of Ghana and
advising Aarsleff-Ghana JV on multiple actions brought
against them in connection with matters relating to
the construction of the Kumasi-Konongo road, a major
trunk road Nutifafa was also part of the
Oxford & Beaumont team that conducted due diligence
on a financial institution in connection with a proposed
$1.8M investment by IFC.

ERIC ADJEI-LARYEA, LLB

Eric
is a Senior Associate specializing in corporate law,
technology, media and telecommunications. He started
his legal career at the Civil Division of the Ministry
of Justice & Attorney-General's Department as an Assistant
State Attorney advising the Government of Ghana on a
range of transactions and agreements. He joined Oxford
& Beaumont Solicitors after a stint at a corporate law
firm with offices in Accra and Lagos.
Eric has considerable corporate experience having advised
clients such as Amalbank, LaGray Chemical Company Limited,
Total Ghana Limited and Oando Ghana Limited, He was
part of the team that advised LaGray Chemical Company
Limited on a USD 2million loan facility from the Overseas
Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to enable the
company set up a plant for the manufacture of active
pharmaceutical agents here in Ghana. He was also part
of the Oxford & Beaumont team that advised Vodafone
International BV on its purchase of 70% stake in Ghana
Telecom. He was responsible for setting up of a number
of companies in Ghana including Google Ghana Limited,
Black Star Stockbrokers Limited and Black Star Farms
Limited. Eric likes reading and enjoys playing table
tennis.

Dorothy Mensah LLB, BL (Ghana), LLM
(LSE)
Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law (admitted in Ghana)
Dorothy
holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University
of Ghana, Legon and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in
Corporate and Commercial Law from the London School
of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She also holds
a certificate in Financial Regulations from the Securities
and Investment Institute, London.
Upon completion of her LLM, Dorothy joined the Consumer
Banking business of Standard Chartered Bank, Ghana where
she was involved in a number of projects in Wealth Management,
SME Banking and in the Direct Sales Units.
In 2006, she moved to Standard Chartered Bank, UK as
a Compliance Associate in the Legal & Compliance team.
She advised and supported the UK Consumer Banking business
on new products, third party provider evaluation, customer
complaints management and strategic developments among
others. She assisted in the roll-out of the bank's private
banking offering: country guidelines cross border referral
model, multi-booking centre model and supported the
build of the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) proposition.
Immediately prior to joining Oxford and Beaumont Solicitors,
Dorothy worked as a Compliance Adviser at Standard Chartered
Bank, UAE and was based in Dubai. Building on her prior
experience, she was in charge of Compliance risk advice,
monitoring, anticipation and reporting as well as regulatory
relationships planning. Notably, she created a comprehensive
library of laws and regulations for the use of the bank
in the UAE.

Korna Bonney BA (Ghana), LLB (Ghana)
Solicitor and Barrister-At-Law (Admitted in Ghana)
Korna
specialises in corporate and commercial practice, as
well as litigation. Prior to joining Oxford & Beaumont
Solicitors, he worked with Hesse & Hesse in Accra.
At Hesse & Hesse, Korna advised Philip Morris International
and supervised the seizure in 2005 and destruction in
2006 of fourteen forty-foot containers of counterfeit
Marlboro cigarettes, the second largest seizure of counterfeit
cigarettes in the world in 2005, and the largest in
Africa for the same period.
He was deeply involved in drafting pleadings, statements
of case and other processes in high profile commercial
litigations such as the multi-million dollar suit brought
against Investcom Consortium Holdings, SA and Scancom
(operators of MTN) at the Commercial Court, Accra. He
has also represented a number of commercial banks, including
Ecobank, the Agricultural Development Bank and the HFC
Bank.
Korna was part of the team which represented the University
of Ghana, Legon, at the 2004 All Africa Human Rights
Moot Court Competition in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Paa Kwesi Morrison B.Com, LLB, BL
(Ghana), ACCA (Finalist)
Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law (Admitted in Ghana)
Paa
Kwesi was admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2008 and has
to his credit the 2007/2008 Eugene Akoto-Bamfo prize
for being the best student in Commercial (Insurance)
Law.
Paa Kwesi was part of the Ghana School of Law team
that won the first National Moot Court Competition held
in the Supreme Court of Ghana. He was also part of the
team that represented Ghana at the 2008 Shearman & Sterling
LLP Phillip Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
held in Washington DC, USA.
Paa Kwesi combined his studies at the Ghana School
of Law with being the Finance & Administration Manager
of Trade Consult Ghana Limited, where he was responsible
for ensuring an effective and efficient financial control
and reporting system and preparing management and financial
reports.
At Oxford & Beaumont Solicitors, Paa Kwesi specializes
in Energy & Infrastructure and Corporate Practice and
was involved in the $900 million dollar acquisition
of 70% stake in Ghana Telecom by Vodafone International
Holding BV.
Prior to his pursuit of a career in law, Paa Kwesi
had had about 3 (three) years' work experience with
KPMG-Ghana, a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants,
where he participated in various audit engagements across
diverse industry sectors, including Banking & Finance,
Mining, Telecommunications and Not-for-Profit Organisations.
Paa Kwesi is head of Appiakwaa Youth Association (AYA),
a Community Based Organization (CBO) in the Mfantseman
District of the Central Region of Ghana. At AYA, Paa
Kwesi has been involved in the planning, implementation
and evaluation of community projects (some donor-funded),
aimed at enhancing the socio-economic development of
his district folks.

Jude Kwame Osei, LLB (Kent) LLM (LSE)
Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law (Admitted in Ghana )
Jude Kwame Osei graduated from the University of Kent of Canterbury , England with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Economic Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Upon completion of the Masters programme in 2003, Jude worked as a short term consultant with Tobacco Free Initiative, a unit within the WHO in Geneva , Switzerland where he was responsible for formulating the Organization's first Public Health Treaty (The Framework Convention on Tobacco Control) .
